The Club That George Built wins at Docs Without Boarders

We’re delighted to share that our feature-length documentary, The Club That George Built, has won an outstanding excellence award for Human Spirit in Sports at the Docs Without Borders International Film Festival.

The Festival stands out as a beacon of innovation in the dynamic world of filmmaking, where competition can be fierce. Unlike traditional festivals that pit films and screenplays against one another, the festival has adopted a unique approach that evaluates each film/screenplay individually. This means rather than being judged compared to the other submissions, your film/script will be assessed based on its inherent value, with the judges' undivided attention.

By focusing on the individual strengths and qualities of each film/screenplay, the judges can delve deeper into the creative vision and technical execution of your work, without being swayed by others' performances.

Made in conjunction with TNT Sports, our 70-minute film centres around the 23/24 season for Worthing FC, and owner George Dowell, who was paralysed from the waist down in a car crash. It was first shown on TNT Sports in October 2024, and can still be viewed on their streaming platform Discovery+ here: https://www.discoveryplus.com/gb/show/the-club-that-george-built

Well done to the whole team for their excellent work.
